Daysha Shuya


Daysha graduated from the U of S school of Physiotherapy in 2003, and obtained her sport diploma from Sport Physio Canada in 2009. Since then, she has completed an M.Sc. in Kinesiology looking at injury prevention and physical manifestation of emotion, as well as a transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is certified in both traditional acupuncture for musculoskeletal dysfunction and dry needling. She completed a 200 hour yoga instructor course while living in a monastic Ashram in 2006, and has worked in 6 different countries with football teams as well as the Supervisor of Performance Medicine for Cirque du Soleil. She has been instructing for the International K-Taping Academy since 2011, teaching health care professionals across Canada proprioceptive taping techniques. She has taught over 50 courses as a sessional lecturer for the U of R in Anatomy, Physiology, as well as Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries. Daysha has been the sport physio for the U of R Cougar Women's Hockey, Regina Thunder, Regina Rams and at the Canada Games.  Currently, Daysha is on the Board of Directors for the Sport Medicine & Science Council of Saskatchewan, Sport Physio Canada- Saskatchewan Division, as well as the President of the College of Physical Therapists of Saskatchewan.
