Nurse Practitioner

 

Amanda completed an undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Saskatchewan/SIAST collaborative nursing program and a Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She is certified through the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.  She completed the certification process through NAMS (North American Menopause Society) to become a Certified Menopause Practitioner.  She has extensive experience in Women’s Health including prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum care, sexual health, contraception, inpatient and outpatient gynecology, pelvic floor dysfunction, and care of midlife women.

 

Amanda is passionate about comprehensive care that explores with her clients how to feel their best.  She is a holistic health care provider with a focus on wellness and vitality through the changes at midlife and beyond.  Her goal is to partner with her clients to create an individualized plan to manage the many changes associated with the menopausal transition.  She is a firm believer that aging is a gift that involves hard work; either the hard work of being infirm or the hard work of being vibrant.  Each circumstance is unique and Amanda has full prescriptive privileges as well as the ability to refer as necessary, order lab tests or imaging, and complete procedures such as IUD insertion or endometrial biopsy.
