Imagine having a heartfelt therapeutic conversation while your body is in motion. In session, expect to experience the elements (wear sunscreen in summer, and snowpants in winter), to spend time in a quiet guided interactive exercise, and to debrief your experience so that you can confidently practise on your own. In a nature-based therapy session you will have time to articulate what is on your mind, as well as experiment with various counseling skills by practising them in/with the natural world: mindful interoception (sensing your body from the inside), attention restoration, psychological flexibility, cognitive distancing, acceptance, compassion, and more. Anyone who is curious to deepen their relationship with nature and themselves could benefit.
