Jenna has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics, including a Practical Dietetic Internship from the University of Saskatchewan. She completed that degree in 2011. Yes, she has a fully-accredited university degree, which most private health insurance plans recognize and will reimburse her appointments.In 2015, she also became a Certified Diabetes Educator and also works for the Metabolic and Diabetes Education Centre in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.
While Jenna has focused on Diabetes, Celiac Disease and Digestive Health, she has a keen interest in the influence of nutrition and lifestyle in beauty and the healthy aging process. She enjoys researching the role of anti-inflammatory foods and how nutrition can promote general wellbeing. As she has been providing nutritional counselling for over 5 years, her experience is definitely an asset!
Jenna is driven to learn, grow and develop new skills. She is compassionate and treats each person that she works with as an individual- helping each person reach their specific goals and satisfy their unique needs. She is creative, and loves trying new things. She is passionate about promoting healthy living, and happily incorporates this belief into her personal life- constantly challenging herself to reach new heights. She is also a makeup artist, and ride instructor at Wheelhouse Cycle Club. She loves doing makeup artistry, painting, cooking and developing new recipes, writing & blogging, taking care of her dog, traveling to discover different cultures & foods of the world, and keeping active with yoga and indoor cycling. This lady is always on the move, and always smiling.
