Lisa Davidson, Registered Social Worker
Lisa joins the team at Brownstone Health with her vibrant, caring energy and years of experience. She completed a Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies at the University of Regina in 1993. From there, she successfully obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and has been working with youth and families ever since. Her areas of interest include grief & loss, as well as depression & anxiety counselling. When asked to describe her philosopies, Lisa stated: "I use a strength-based, client-centred, trauma informed approach. My techniques are inferred by CBT, Brief Solution Focused therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, play therapy and mindfulness." Lisa is one of our only mental health team members that works with children and adolescents. Her professional apirations include continuation of her studies in Death, Dying and Bereavement through Wilfred Laurier University, as well as to continue taking courses in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Aside from her work, Lisa loves being outside. You may see her running, cross-country skiing or riding her bike around the city.
