Kirsten Denninger, MSW, EMDR therapist, RYI-200
Kirsten practices with a Master of Social Work (MSW) granted from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020 and is a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Kirsten completed both a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Human Justice at the University of Regina in 2011 and has worked in the human service field with children, adolescents, and adults ever since.
Kirsten approaches all sessions with an anti-oppressive, strength based, trauma informed lens and is passionate about empowering clients through skill building. Kirsten’s practice is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and mindfulness. Kirsten is also trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Kirsten is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) specializing in trauma informed yoga and mindfulness. Professionally, Kirsten has continued to learn about trauma, anxiety and stress management, and the benefits of incorporating mindfulness into daily living.
Kirsten is a fun spirited, animal lover who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults to help achieve their goals. Kirsten is currently working with individuals aged 6 years and older.
