Kirsten Denninger, MSW

 

Kirsten practices with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree through Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, focusing on counselling.  Kirsten completed her Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Human Justice Degrees in 2011.  She worked in the human service field for 9 years until moving to the School System.

She has worked with children and youth as a front-line worker and as a supervisor, working with young offenders and their families.  Kirsten uses a strength based, trauma informed approach, along with cognitive behavioural therapy and other evidence based approaches.Given her interest in working with trauma, Kirsten is also pursuing the three-year Somatic Experiencing Professional Training through The Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute.

Kirsten's other area of interest is Women's Health, equity, and growth- including the psychological and emotional changes  experienced throughout the lifespan.  

Kirsten is currently accepting clients aged 12 years and older.
